Hi and Welcome. My name is Joe and I am the Program Director at Addiction Conscious Treatment (A.C.T.). I am also a certified Addictions Counsellor, Community Service Worker and Reiki Practitioner.
My passion is to assist people work through and rise above their trauma and personal adversities. Being a trauma (sexual abuse) survivor and walking the path of recovery has led me on a journey of self actualization and personal empowerment.
For many years I lived my life trying to escape reality, which inevitably led me to my breaking point where I found myself knocking on death’s door. It was at the darkest hour in a state of pure despair, that I finally succumbed to and listened to the higher power that had been beckoning me back towards the light.
In September 2016, I reclaimed my life by taking back my power and took the necessary action steps towards my personal journey of healing. The path of healing has not been an easy one. However, the level of commitment, dedication, effort and time spent on rebuilding and restoring my life has had a priceless impact on my mental, physical and spiritual well-being.
After walking through the fires of hell and facing countless demons, I am grateful to have survived and made it out alive.
We are all born of the light, but some of us have had our innocence ripped away forcing us into states of darkness. I am an example of a man who was once broken and one day made the decision to completely transform my life for the better. I believe everyone is worthy and deserving of love and respect.
I am passionate about assisting those struggling to reclaim their personal power and take action steps towards living an empowered and fulfilled life.
